“My husband and I had been married for 6 years, but there was still no news from my belly.
Every time I went back to the tribe, the elders would only ask: Are you pregnant yet?
At one point, I really did not want to go back to Nan’ao anymore because of that question!
Only my own family never asked me this question.
During this time, I went through hysterosalpingography and laparoscopic examination under general anesthesia to check the degree of fallopian tube blockage.
I honestly have to say, I will only do hysterosalpingography once in my life. It was really painful.
For laparoscopy, it was the postoperative pain. I rested for 3 weeks.
Several years passed after those examinations, but I still did not get pregnant.
In November 2021, I lost 10 kilograms through diet.
Still, I did not get pregnant.
In 2022, in one moment of decision, I felt that I did not want to keep delaying anymore.
After discussing with my husband, we decided to go straight into IVF.
Whether it succeeded or not, we would leave everything to heaven.
During that time, I consulted two clinics. One of them was Yun-I Fertility Center near Xingtian Temple in Taipei, introduced by a friend, with Director Hui-Po Li.
The environment at Yun-I is warm and comfortable, and the entire team is excellent.
Throughout the process, everything was centered around us, and every detail was explained very clearly.
They have a LINE platform where you can ask questions anytime.
Whenever examinations were needed or reports came out, the platform would notify us.
They also have an app where you can check blood test results and other examination systems.
Finally, I want to say:
If you truly have a family member or friend undergoing IVF treatment, you need to mentally prepare yourself.
The whole process is very hard, with traveling back and forth, injections, and side effects from medications, all of which can make the person trying to conceive very exhausted.
Egg retrieval and embryo transfer both require proper rest, and even more importantly, the companionship and support of your other half.
Starting IVF preparation last November, after 3 months, I successfully became pregnant!
After confirming the pregnancy, I felt it was unbelievable and so lucky.
I continued follow-up at Yun-I for almost 2 months and successfully graduated from Yun-I Fertility Center. Now I have started prenatal checkups near home.”
