Congenital Uterine Anomalies

Recently, a Japanese couple came to Yun-I for consultation because they wanted to conceive.

I performed an ultrasound and immediately found that the wife had a bicornuate uterus.

Both husband and wife were very surprised because this had not been detected previously in Japan or at other fertility centers in Taiwan.

Because I was quite certain, I informed the couple that some congenital uterine anomalies may also be associated with kidney or urinary system abnormalities, and may also affect the chances of successful pregnancy and delivery.

After they understood the situation, we arranged hysterosalpingography and kidney imaging.

She was confirmed to have a bicornuate uterus, but fortunately, her urinary system was normal.

The incidence of congenital uterine anomalies in women is about one in one thousand.

However, the proportion is higher among women with infertility.

Over the past six months, I have seen three women with infertility at Yun-I who had uterine anomalies.

I arranged follow-up infertility examinations for them and also discussed future treatment plans, hoping to help them fulfill their wishes.

Yun-I wishes your dreams come true!
