Customizing a Healthy Baby
At the age of 40, Ms. Hou had previously undergone four IVF treatments at other clinics.
However, due to sperm-related issues combined with age-related egg quality concerns, the embryo condition was not ideal. Several embryo transfers did not result in pregnancy, and she had originally felt discouraged and decided to give up.
Later, through a friend’s recommendation, she came to Yun-I Fertility Center. After consulting and discussing with Dr. Hui-Po Li, she decided to undergo another IVF treatment at Yun-I.
After Dr. Li’s careful evaluation, he found that the issue was not only related to sperm and eggs, but also that multiple uterine fibroids could affect embryo implantation.
Dr. Li arranged a detailed and personalized IVF treatment plan, selected suitable ovarian stimulation injections, used the Time-Lapse Embryo Incubator to culture the embryos, and screened high-quality blastocysts through preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy, PGT-A.
With just one egg retrieval, a chromosomally normal embryo was successfully formed and frozen.
Afterward, Dr. Li performed fibroid removal surgery for Ms. Hou. Once the uterine implantation environment was properly prepared, frozen embryo transfer was performed.
Congratulations to Ms. Hou, who is now successfully 10 weeks pregnant and has received her IVF treatment graduation certificate from Dr. Li.
